Ochiai Masayuki worked in television as a director for the Bizarre Tales TV series before making his film directorial debut with Parasite Eve. His film Shutter was made with Hollywood funding. His other major works include Hypnosis, Infection and Kaidan Restaurant.
 

Tsukamoto Shinya started making movies at the age of 14. After gaining a reputation for his self-made films, his feature directorial debut Tetsuo: The Iron Man was greeted with considerable international acclaim. In 2003 Tsukamoto won the Venice Film Festival"s Special Jury Prize for A Snake of June. Other major works include Tokyo Fist and Tetsuo: The Bullet Man.
